Certified Associate in Project Management

PMI CAPM is a 3-day intensive exam preparation course and is the first step to project management professional (PMI) certification.

The CAPM or Certified Associate in Project Management offered by the Project Management Institute (PMI) is an ideal certification. It is the first step to Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.

The CAPM allows you to show current and potential employers that you are qualified to work as a project manager, even with little to no project management training.

  • Cost: $730.74 which includes Eventbrite fee: $14.89 & Credit card fee: $20.95. (Please Note: if you pay by check there is no credit card fee)
  • Time: a 3-day intensive learning experience.  You will be in class from 9:00 a.m. to  5:00 p.m.; January 6, 7 & 8, 2020
  • Prerequisite: A high school diploma is required
  • What is Included?: This program includes materials, lunch, and snacks over the 3-days of the CAPM Intensive. It does not include the fee for the exam or PMI membership.

The Program

  • The program is broken into 11 modules over 3-days
  • Consisting of lectures, discussion, detailed case studies, and presentations
  • Featuring in-class practice testing which the instructor will review to help create a study plan for success

Participants completing the program will be awarded a Certificate of Completion and will earn the required 23 education hours to sit for the CAPM examination. Rick DeJohn recommends that you plan on taking the exam within 1-2 months of the course for the best results.

About the Instructor

The course is taught by Rick DeJohn, PMP, PMI-ACP, MSCE, MIT from Camus Consulting Inc. Rick is an IT consultant, network engineer and project manager with over 20 years of experience. Download Rick's full biography here.

CAPM Examination

The exam is $300 for non-PMI members OR $225 for PMI members.

PMI Membership is $129 per year. Benefits of PMI membership include exclusive access to tools, templates, and resources. Membership includes access to the PM Job Board and the PMBOK Guide online.
