Elementary Education

Graduate Admissions Requirements

Prospective students may apply for admission to the MSEd/EdS in Elementary Education throughout the year. Classes start every January, June, and September.


For consideration, applicants must submit the following admission requirements:

  1. A completed application - Apply Now
  2. Official undergraduate and graduate transcripts (a GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred)
  3. An original essay of at least 250 words on the topic: "Why the MSEd/EdS in Elementary Education is important to my personal and professional goals"
  4. A current resume
  5. Two recommendations - Download the form here
  6. A signed program requirement form 
    1. Download the requirement form for Initial Licensure & Non-Licensure Programs
    2. Download the requirement form for Professional Licensure Programs
  7. A copy of MTEL results (if applicable)
  8. A copy of your current teaching license (if applicable)
