Minors

Enhance the value of your Bay Path education!

Why complete a minor in college?

  • Personal Fulfillment. Individuals who opt to declare a minor do so because they are passionate about a specific subject. If you have a subject you’d like to explore, college is the perfect time to take a few classes.
  • Professional Enhancement. Declaring a college minor can enhance your resume and make you a more marketable job candidate once you begin applying for positions.

A declared minor consists of a minimum of 15 credits in a discipline or set of interrelated courses above the 100 level. At least two courses may not be required by the student’s major program and one course must be an upper level course.  Students should begin to plan their minors with their advisors as early as possible, but usually no later than the third semester, because some courses may have prerequisites which are offered during either a fall or spring semester.
