Transfer Admissions Requirements

We are looking for students who are ready to handle the rigor of a Bay Path College education, who enjoy a challenge, and who want to expand their horizons.

You might be picking your class schedule or just wondering if you meet our admissions requirements.

Required coursework

To be considered a transfer student, you must have completed at least 12 college credits in academic subjects from an accredited college or university. If you have fewer than 12 credits, please see the admissions information related to high school students.

Required GPA

Transfer students must have a minimum of a 2.0 cumulative GPA from their previous college work to be considered for admission at Bay Path.

Transfer Process

Once you apply for admission to Bay Path College and submit all required materials, our transfer counselor will provide you with an admissions decision within just a few days and will determine how your credits transfer in to Bay Path. In addition, our scholarship committee will evaluate your application to determine if you qualify for merit based scholarships.

How we review your application

Our admissions committee evaluates all facets of your application starting with your high school transcripts. The types of classes you have completed as well as your academic performance are evaluated. We also consider your standardized test scores (SATs or ACTs) and use your highest combination of scores when reviewing your application.

You are evaluated for admission as well as merit scholarships based on your high school GPA and standardized test scores, as we find these two pieces of information most important. We also evaluate experiences you have participated in outside of classes including clubs, activities, sports, volunteering, and employment opportunities.

Although letters of recommendation and an essay are not required and have no bearing in a positive or negative way on the decision to admit you to Bay Path College, you are welcome to submit either or both. The Admissions and Scholarship Committees will use them to get to know you better.
