Campus Theme Essay Contest

 

The Campus Theme brings the Bay Path community together to consider and discuss a common theme, issue, or question that impacts us all. This year, our theme is “Lead with Compassion.” Through coursework, workshops, discussions, lectures, presentations, and through art, we will consider the many reasons we should and ways we can lead with compassion.

Share your thoughts on this year's Campus Theme: Lead with Compassion. All currently enrolled Bay Path students are eligible to write a 3-5 page essay that focuses on leading with compassion. Essay prompts and submission guidelines can be found here: .

  • First prize: $500 and the opportunity to share the essay at Academic Achievement Day (4/10/13, Longmeadow)
  • Second prize: $250
  • Third prize: $100

The 2011 - 2012 Campus Theme Essay Contest: Read the Winning Entries

A collaborative effort between the Campus Theme (2011-2012 Campus Theme was "Power of Choice") and writing programs here at Bay Path, the first annual Campus Theme Essay Contest encouraged Bay Path students to reflect on the power of choice, and its impact on women. Combining sound logic and strong writing technique, student writers shared their voices regarding how the power of choice, or the lack of choice, has influenced them and other women.

This year, we honor two student writers:
