Basketball
The 2008-2009 season finds the Bay Path College Lady Wildcats in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC), a new association providing athletic competition among institutions that share similar academic aspirations and are committed to the importance of the total educational experience for students engaged in sports. The Lady Wildcats will look to be one of the top teams in this newly formed league, which includes Becker College (Leicester, Mass.), Daniel Webster College (Nashua, N.H.), Elms College (Chicopee, Mass.), Lesley University (Cambridge, Mass.), Mitchell College (New London, Conn.), Newbury College (Brookline, Mass.), Southern Vermont (Bennington, Vt.), and Wheelock College (Boston, Mass.).
The Lady Wildcats will be led by key returning players Jessica Hunt, Sarah Wright and Kat Begin, while incoming recruits Christina Calabrese and Meghan Caputo look to make a sudden impact. This year’s team looks to be one of the strongest teams this college has seen in recent years. Through hard work, commitment, and attention to detail, the Lady Wildcats will definitely be a force to be reckoned with this basketball season. Please come out and show your support as the Lady Wildcats make a run at the NECC title in its inaugural year!
All home games are played at the Bartley Center Gymnasium at Holyoke Community College.
