Entrepreneurial Program
When you hear the word “entrepreneur” who do you think of?
The common definition is an exceptional person who was in the right place at the right time. The reality is it’s a person who both sees and seizes opportunities. That defines Bay Path’s Entrepreneurial Program. It is a program that connects students with faculty and entrepreneurs across disciplines...across businesses and organizations…across community…to learn how to be daring, creative and to take initiative.
Bay Path’s Entrepreneurial Program is designed to prepare students to create, launch, and grow new businesses or ideas, either as a stand-alone or within an organization. At the core of the program is the belief that entrepreneurship is a set of skills and knowledge that can be taught, learned and applied in all majors.
In addition to the unique curriculum, there are focused activities that emphasize critical hands-on work experiences to develop each student's confidence to be a risk taker and leader. Students are encouraged to look at the many dimensions of entrepreneurship by attending events, such as the annual Innovative Thinking & Entrepreneurship Summit and Lecture to participating in entrepreneurial competitions to taking classes such as Innovations in Business or Entre-vation.
Ultimately, the goal of the Entrepreneurial Program is to develop a student's mind to look at products and services in different ways, discover the rewards of risk taking, learn the fundamentals of good business sense, and acquire the confidence to be an effective leader.
