Communications
Communications is a dynamic, "hands-on" major that prepares you for a variety of careers in which language and the media are central to the business and day-to-day functioning of organizations. Courses are taught in the state-of-art- MassMutual Multimedia digital production laboratory or in the College's partner Longmeadow Community Television studio (LCTV). Almost every course in the major leads to real-world projects that serve real television, newspaper, and magazine audiences throughout the region.
The College has its own radio and television networks and produces its own campus magazine. Through these media, you will learn newspaper and magazine journalism and radio, television, and film production - by doing real world projects.
In addition to a rigorous "hands-on" curriculum you are required to do an internship in your senior year with television stations, newspapers, advertising agencies, radio stations, or other professional organizations in your field of special interest.
