“I have always had a love of science and solving puzzles and mysteries. When it came time for me to pursue an undergraduate degree, I looked for a college that could provide an interdisciplinary, forensic science program—one where I could master ideals and gain experience to become a crime scene investigator. Also, as a child of a single parent, it was important to find a college that was affordable.
I had visited a handful of colleges near my hometown but when I arrived at Bay Path, I was immediately at ease. I knew it was the place for me to grow and change for the better. The entire campus community is very encouraging, and my professors, like Dr. Gina M. Semprebon and Professor Patricia Drewniak, are knowledgeable and well-skilled in the science field, and they make it a point to connect with each and every student at Bay Path.
Bay Path not only offers an excellent program in forensics, but it also delivered a wonderful financial aid package, allowing me to take out fewer loans and less financial debt upon graduation. When my financial situation changed this year, Bay Path’s Financial Services re-evaluated my financial need, and I was given The Carol A. Leary Endowed Scholarship and a new Bay Path Opportunity Grant. In addition, my hard work in the classroom paid off when I was named among the first of Bay Path College’s National Science Foundation (NSF) Scholars last year. I’ll receive $1,250 from the NSF grant for the next three years as I pursue my education in forensic science.
Following graduation, I plan to enroll in Bay Path’s graduate degree program in forensics, which will provide the credentials and leaderships skills to ensure my future. By enrolling at Bay Path, I have seized wonderful opportunities to succeed in forensic science.”
