Precious Price , ’ 11 Psychology

As a child in the Connecticut foster care system, I was fortunate to have a great social worker and foster mom who was always there for me and have always had high expectations of me. Today, Bay Path is preparing me to have the same impact on children, teens and others as I look forward to a public service career in social work. The entire College community comes together to support students. Faculty and staff have really shown me how to develop my career by channeling my passions. Every day, I appreciate my professors for showing me how understanding people will guide me in helping kids and families in the community.

Bay Path has taught me to keep the doors open to possibilities. And by keeping those doors open, I’ve had the opportunity to experience, not one, but two, One America road trips and an amazing internship with the ConnCAP (Connecticut Collegiate Awareness and Preparation) program. As an intern, I’m playing a part in preparing inner-city teens for college. My work with the teens has even led to a job offer.

In the classroom and in the community, Bay Path made me realize more about others and just how much I care about people and want only the best for them.
