Bay Path — Success Stories

“I’ve always been passionate about science and research, and Bay Path encourages me to pursue my dreams—one of which recently became a reality. I was among a select number of undergraduates chosen to participate in the Harvard-MIT Bioinformatics Summer Program, based at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge and at Harvard-affiliated institutions in Boston. This summer, I worked with scientists from around the world, gaining hands-on research experience related to genetics and the application of information technology to molecular biology. This highly competitive internship was simply an opportunity I could not ignore.

This was truly a dream internship, and Bay Path has prepared me for the adventure that lied ahead. From my courses focused on genetics to microbiology—two of my favorite subjects—to faculty, like Dr. Gina Semprebon, who are supportive and my own personal cheering section, Bay Path has allowed me to grow as a student and a future researcher.” — During the Harvard-MIT Bioinformatics Summer Program, Monica studied zebrafish and copy number variations. Monica presented her research findings to members of the Bay Path community during a presentation at Harvard Medical School's New Research Building in Boston.
