Malissa Maddox , ’ 11 Legal Studies

What can I say? Bay Path College wants you to succeed, and it provides the education and opportunities to achieve your dreams. The College is one of the few New England institutions that offer an ABA(American Bar Association)-approved legal studies program. At Bay Path, I’m fortunate to learn a broad spectrum of law from highly qualified attorneys, who are the base of my professional network.

Thanks to Atty. John Woodruff, Atty. Elizabeth Dineen, and Atty. Justin Dion, I’ve been introduced to internship opportunities that would allow me to work directly with judges, the Western Massachusetts Legal Services, and even TRIALS (Training and Recruitment Initiative for Admission to Leading Law Schools), a residential scholarship program in partnership with Harvard Law School that helps motivated college students gain admission to the nation’s leading law schools.

From providing financial assistance to developing my leadership skills in student organizations, Bay Path has given me the chance to make my dream of becoming a lawyer a reality. In just a few months, I will receive my bachelor’s degree and pursue my graduate studies in law.

Malissa was among the Bay Path students featured in the October 12, 2010 issue of The Republican for their work on recent bankruptcy cases. In addition to Malissa’s community service, she is/has been involved in the following activities:
One America, a community service roadtrip
Founder and President of the Bay Path College Gospel Choir
Women’s Leadership Conference Guide for C. Vivienne Stringer
