Forensic Science, MS in Forensics
Bay Path College is known for encouraging the entrepreneurial spirit that resides within all of its students. I’ve always wanted to start my own business, and community service has always been a part of my life. I’ve always enjoyed helping people. In fact, that’s part of the reason why I decided to pursue a career in forensic science, where I could have an impact on the justice system. As I was preparing my class schedule for my senior year at Bay Path, I learned I was a few credits shy of being a full-time student. To add the needed credit hours, I opted to enroll in the College’s community service course. Little did I know at the time, I was opening the doors to a great business opportunity.
As a part of the community service course, I volunteered for Technology101s* and assisted teens in teaching computer basics to senior citizens, which benefited the Windsor (CT) High School Future Business Leaders Club. As the semester, and project, came to an end, I was offered a partnership in the company, based on my initiative taken during my volunteer time. The creativity and drive in me are attributed to the challenges and guidance I have received from Bay Path. The vision of Technolog101s, to enable every person to feel comfortable using technology, piqued my desire to perform community service and be a part of an organization that is focused on fostering inter-generational relationships in local communities. Today, we provide personalized tutoring to all age groups for all technology, including the Internet, Microsoft Office programs, cell phones, televisions, cameras, and more.
Now, as I pursue my graduate studies in forensics, my professional and entrepreneurial passions are combining with my desire to perform community service, all of which have been encouraged by the Bay Path community.
