Bay Path — Success Stories

Velvet McLasky ’09

Velvet McLasky, ’09 Forensic Science

“I transferred to Bay Path College because the school offered the forensic science program I was looking for. The classes are taught in modern laboratory facilities by extraordinary faculty. The professors bring their extensive work experience in scientific research, criminal investigation, and forensic science to each course, enabling me to receive a first-rate education.”

“Through courses such as Organic Chemistry and Evidence and Forensic Anthropology, I had the opportunity to put my knowledge to use during my Honors Internship with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in Washington, D.C. During my internship, I worked side-by-side with forensic scientists in the crime labs, and gained a better understanding of my field of interest.”—Velvet continues to work with the FBI as a voluntary intern, and intends to pursue a career in a forensic lab or as a crime scene investigator.
