Chrissy Soto, ’11 Accounting

Bay Path has opened doors for me to succeed in my chosen profession before I even graduate. Through my hard work and the connections I’ve made with Bay Path’s dedicated faculty, I landed an extraordinary co-op experience with Pratt and Whitney, a major subsidiary of United Technology Corporation, a Fortune 100 company. As a co-op staff member in the Manufacturing Accounting Department, I’m gaining valuable knowledge in general and cost accounting, inventory, accounting controls and other skills that are necessary to be a valuable contributor in a successful company.

Since I’m being paid for my work at Pratt & Whitney, the co-op experience allows me to save for my future education. However, the best part for me is having the opportunity to demonstrate to my colleagues and supervisors just how well Bay Path prepares its students for today’s workforce.” Following graduation, Christina intends to seek her CPA license and continue her education through graduate studies.
