Bay Path has opened doors for me to succeed in my chosen profession before I even graduate. Through my hard work and the connections I’ve made with Bay Path’s dedicated faculty, I landed not one, but two extraordinary co-op experiences with Pratt and Whitney, a major subsidiary of United Technology Corporation, a Fortune 100 company. As a co-op staff member in the Manufacturing Accounting Department, I’ve gained valuable knowledge in general and cost accounting, inventory, and accounting controls. Today, I work with the General Accounting & Consolidations Department, where I’m advancing my understanding in intercompany reconciliations, journal and accrual entries, balancing company records, and other skills that are necessary to be a valuable contributor in a successful company.

Since I’m being paid for my work at Pratt & Whitney, the co-op experience allows me to save for my future education. However, the best part for me is having the opportunity to demonstrate to my colleagues and supervisors just how well Bay Path prepares its students for today’s workforce.”

She is now employed full-time with Pratt & Whitney
