Stephanie Beauregard

Stephanie Beauregard“As soon as I received my GED in 2001, I had to work a full-time job in order to support myself. For four years, I worked in banking and insurance, and I dreamt of going to college, but I could never find an accelerated program that would fit into my already hectic workweek. However, everything fell into place when I learned about the One-Day-A-Week Saturday College at Bay Path’s Central Mass. Campus. I knew then my dream was achievable.

I enrolled in the Central Mass. Campus to pursue a paralegal certificate and soon realized another dream—becoming a lawyer. By taking personal and vacation time, I made myself available for an internship with the Public Defender Office in Springfield and with the support of my fellow students, my professors, and even my current employer—the law firm Milton, Laurence & Dixon in Worcester, I was driven to follow my dream, and I pursued my degree in legal studies in the One-Day program at the Longmeadow Campus.

My Bay Path education has laid a solid foundation for me. The friends I made in the One-Day program and faculty continue to be readily accessible when I need them, and they have given me the confidence to embark on the next step of my career—law school.”

- This fall, Stephanie enrolled in Western New England College School of Law. She is considering a law career in civil litigation or constitutional law. In the future, Stephanie would like to teach law in a non-traditional college environment, helping those who are taking the same path as she did.
