“About 10 years ago, I saw a billboard for the new One-Day-A-Week Saturday College at Bay Path, and I began rethinking my future. For months, the idea of returning to college to complete my bachelor’s degree kept racing through my thoughts, and the fact that I could attend courses just on Saturdays definitely attracted me to the program.

Finally, I decided it was time for me to complete my degree, yet I faced a curveball as I was preparing to take that next step. I was involved in a serious car accident, leaving me with a fractured spine. I soon realized that life is too short. This circumstance caused me to look closely at what I wanted to accomplish in life, and I was more determined than ever to achieve my college education.

In the fall of 2007, I met with a Bay Path College academic advisor and within an hour, I had signed up for my first courses in business executive management—a major directly related to my position as director of the Ludlow Housing Authority. The One-Day program offers on campus and online courses, which have enabled me to manage my education as well as my career, family life, and health needs.

Any uncertainty I may have felt prior to enrolling in the program left me as I found myself in the company of women who were just like me. We know enough from our past, and we know what we want. We know where we want to be, and we know exactly where we are going!”
