“As a single mother working full-time, I had searched for an accelerated college program that would be flexible, enabling me to continue to meet the demands at home and work. I couldn’t afford to spend nearly a decade in night programs to obtain a four-year degree. However, like many One-Day students, I received a postcard about the One-Day-A-Week
Saturday College in Burlington, and I was intrigued. After an information session, I knew Bay Path was the college for me.
Although I was delighted the One-Day program would take only three-and-a-half years, I was thrilled when I learned how to shorten my college career by taking the CLEP (College Level Examination Program) exams. By passing several exams, I ‘clepped’ out of several core and elective courses, transferring 14 college credits and reducing my undergraduate education to just two years. This experience, as well as a few business college courses, led me to establish my own business helping others strategize and shorten their educational path.
I haven’t graduated yet, but the One-Day program has already changed my life. Through Bay Path’s career services and the initiative I have shown, I’ve landed a position with the new biotechnology firm Molecular Biomedrics as a customer service manager. I’m well on my way to a successful future in management.”
