Illustration Matters!

1:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m.
July 6-10, for young women entering grades 6, 7, and 8.
August 3-7, for young women in high school.

An afternoon, weeklong, introductory program that will teach students the basics of drawing “to inform”.

  • Do you want to draw things accurately and proportionally?
  • Are you observant, and enjoy learning?

This program will give you the basic tools needed for representational drawing; helping you to capture your world and put it onto paper.

Learn how to translate your surroundings into beautiful 2D illustrations, worthy of publication in a science book! It can be easy once you’ve learned some basic tricks. Improve your anime or abstract art by first knowing how to accurately illustrate!

Using pencil, students will begin with basic shapes in nature. By the end of the week, they will learn how to convert their more complicated biological illustrations into digital format, and explore ways of selling their art online.

Make new friends, improve your fundamental art skills, and learn ways to profit from what you enjoy!
