The Innovative Thinking & Entrepreneurship Lecture

10.06.2011 —Baking her way all the way to the bank, CEO and President of Au Bon Pain comes to Bay Path College to talk dough.

Longmeadow, MA – Bay Path College welcomes Au Bon Pain President and CEO, Sue Morelli, on Thursday, October 27 for its 9th annual Innovative Thinking & Entrepreneurship Lecture.

After completing Harvard Business School in 1984, Morelli joined Au Bon Pain in 1988 and worked her way up the ranks with the Boston-based fast-casual bakery and cafe, becoming President and CEO in 2006. Under her leadership the company opens over 30 new cafes a year, a third of which are located internationally in Thailand, India, South Korea, and the Middle East.

The bakery recently launched a complete redesign of its chain, adding wireless ordering devices, I-pad order-taking technology in some locations, and modern-casual art. Coupled with the restaurant’s use of Nutrition Kiosks, which allow diners to view and plan meals based on a variety of dietary needs, these updates keep the bakery near the top of the list of best fast-casual chains in the country.

Sue Morelli will speak to attendees in this once-only breakfast event for entrepreneurs on the power of innovative thinking, staying on trend within your industry, and the key to success in business.
