Muriel Mitchell Passes Away

Muriel Mitchell, emerita member of our faculty, passed away on June 25 at her home in Maine.
Muriel served as a member of the Bay Path College English department for 35 years and retired as chair of the Department. Muriel remained close to Bay Path after her retirement, attending plays, speaking at many functions, representing the emeriti faculty at official College events, and even traveling with students and faculty on the first Capitals of the World trip to Rome, Italy. Muriel remained a resident of Springfield until just a few years ago when she moved to Maine to be with her son and daughter-in-law. Muriel was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, John Mitchell, a former dean at American International College.
