Cimmino named NECC Player of the Week

11-18-08 - The New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) recently recognized Bay Path College junior guard Ashley Cimmino of Westfield, Mass. for outstanding play, and selected her as the NECC Player of the Week in women’s basketball. She led the Wildcats to a win over Lancaster Bible College (57-56) in the Consolation Game of the Cedar Crest Tip-Off Tournament. Cimmino, who was named to the All-Tournament Team for her effort, hit the game-winning shot with six seconds remaining on the clock to propel the Wildcats to victory. She notched the game-high with 21 points and four rebounds against Lancaster Bible. For the week, Cimmino averaged 14 points, six rebounds and two steals.
