Meet the Director

Dr. Sandi CoyneSandi Coyne, DM, program director of the Bay Path College Master of Business Administration graduate program, has been active in numerous entrepreneurial ventures in the Springfield area, and her ventures have involved a wide range of interests. She has helped the homeless create businesses, and has taught the beliefs of good business to gang members, so they can find new life opportunities. She is the former director of the student incubator at the Entrepreneurial Institute at the Andrew M. Scibelli Enterprise Center in Springfield, MA. She has presented locally and nationally on student incubation and entrepreneurial ventures, and her experience includes presentations for the Society of Actuaries at their spring meetings in Seattle, WA and Phoenix, AZ. She has also participated in several events for the National Association of Community Colleges for Entrepreneurship, and presented on entrepreneurial topics for the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission.

Before Dr. Coyne began her teaching career, she was primarily involved in non-profit organizations and raised money for numerous organizations in western Massachusetts. Dr. Coyne describes herself as a marketer and believes that life is an amazing and complex journey where curiosity and positive mental attitude are the best elements to accompany you.

Dr. Coyne is one of the original founders of the Ronald McDonald House in Springfield, MA. She has served as the director of development for Girls Inc. in Holyoke and has worked with Greater Holyoke Community Development Corporation to create successful programming for small businesses. She has worked for Hospice of Pioneer Valley and reached an important realization during that affiliation: the cycle of life is amazing. Dr. Coyne holds a master of business administration in health care. The delivery of health care remains a strong interest for Dr. Coyne, and fuels her fundraising efforts for HIV/AIDS foundations. Currently, she is the president of the AIDS Foundation of Western Massachusetts.

Dr. Coyne received her associate’s degree from Springfield Technical Community College; her bachelor’s degree in management and MBA from Western New England College; and her Doctorate in Management from the University of Phoenix.
