Strategic Human Resources Management Certificate

Our Certificate in Strategic Human Resource Management is designed for entry-level human resource professionals and is also applicable for managers in other fields who are interested in learning more about this area and related issues. Emphasis is on enhancing an individual’s capabilities, knowledge, skills, and competencies in the broad and challenging function of human capital management.

You have the option of combining this certificate with our MBA, MS in Communications and Information Management, and MS in Nonprofit Management and Philanthropy.

Students who complete the graduate certificate in Strategic Human Resource Management are expected to:

  • Compare and contrast recruitment and selection techniques to craft a strong and sound approach to selecting candidates for employment
  • Demonstrate a consistent and detailed approach to the development and evaluation of job descriptions
  • Develop a strong approach to the application of job descriptions to realistic and well documented job evaluations
  • Demonstrate an understanding of creating and sustaining employee relationships
  • Relate knowledge of compensation and employee benefits as a mechanism for reaching organizational goals
  • Identify and analyze current trends and future directions of human resources
