On thing prospective students should take into account is the financial well-being of a college. Recently, Forbes Magazine created the FORBES College Financial Grade, a measure of the fiscal soundness of over 900 four-year, private, not-for-profit colleges and universities with more than 500 students. The findings were also based on 2011 and 2010 data from the Department of Education, and consisted of two lists: A & B and C & D.
We are happy to announce that Bay Path placed on the A & B list with a solid 264 and a grade of B. This ranking puts the College in the company of many Tier 1 schools, including Princeton, Columbia, Swarthmore, and Smith. The Financial Grade not only attests to the fiscal strength of an institution, but is also valuable information in selecting a college/university: it confirms there are resources available for the core educational mission that will also benefit the prospective student.
