At Bay Path I find that leadership is more than just a word. It's about action.
In everything I do—from the classroom to community service projects—I'm encouraged to develop my leadership skills. People here on campus talk about leadership…what it means and why it's important to me as a student. I’ve discovered that leadership is not only about being first, the captain of the team, or the president of the organization. Leadership means using the opportunities I have at Bay Path to develop confidence in myself, set an example to others by having strong ethics, and taking responsibility for what I do. I think it's also really about having standards for myself, and hopefully, in time, I can serve as a role model for others. For me, leaders are people I respect and look up to. As a criminal justice major, at Bay Path I'm learning the leadership qualities that will help me succeed and reach my career goal of working in the FBI.
