I came to Bay Path from my home country of Brazil.
As an international student, I'm so excited to be representing my country abroad and studying in America. It was all made possible by the scholarships I received when I applied to Bay Path. I felt honored to have been selected, and I believe with that honor comes certain responsibilities. Scholarships are a way that people give back to make a difference, and that chain starts with me. I want to start giving back to make a difference in people's lives—right now. That's why I started a club on campus to support Boundless Playgrounds. Boundless Playgrounds is a national organization dedicated to helping communities create playgrounds for children, with and without disabilities, so they all can enjoy and play equally. From what people have done for me and my own experiences, I believe in giving back…because it's one of the ways we can look to the future.
A liberal studies major, Juliana is one of the 85% of Bay Path students who receive a scholarship every year.
