Institutional Review Board
Bay Path College is committed to upholding the rights of human participants in research project. Accordingly, it has established an Institutional Review Board (IRB) that is charged with ensuring that all relevant human subjects research conducted by College staff, faculty and students is guided by the principles set forth in the Belmont Report and conforms to the requirements articulated in federal regulation 45CFR46.
The Bay Path College IRB includes representatives from faculty and staff who have an interest in protecting human rights and is made up of a minimum of five full-time members with at least one humanist in that membership. The IRB is chaired by a full-time faculty member serving on the IRB and reports to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs.
A packet of forms of IRB submission along with helpful hints to assist with completion of these forms is provided on this web site.
