Andrea L. Russo, MS, Professor of BusinessAndrea Russo, MS, is a full-time professor at the Bay Path CollegeBusiness Department. Russo has been employed at the College since 1976 and has participated in the continued growth and transition of the college from junior college to an accredited, four-year institution that offers graduate degree programs. During her tenure, she has been instrumental in curriculum development and has taught numerous courses. She currently teaches business subjects including business ethics, communicating in business, computer applications, financial literacy, marketing in the 21st century, and tech tools for the professions.

Russo’s area of special interest is educating young women in topics that impact their decision-making and financial literacy skills. She has developed the financial literacy course and is committed to keeping this curriculum current by attending various presentations and workshops on financial literacy issues. In addition, Russo is committed to keeping current in related computer applications by attending sessions offered by professional associations and educational centers. She has adapted the computer curriculum to meet the needs of the One-Day-A-Week Saturday Program students and conducts faculty and staff workshops teaching various software applications, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel applications. She is also a faculty mentor in the One-Day Program and has been a member of the Massachusetts and National Business Education Associations.

Prior to joining Bay Path, Russo taught high-school level subjects in the Enfield school system. She earned her baccalaureate and graduate degrees from Central Connecticut State College and completed advanced studies at American International College and Rider College. While at Bay Path, Russo was honored with the distinction of being the first recipient of the Marcia H. Conrad Service Award, having served as resident director and advisor to various classes and clubs.

In her spare time, Russo is an avid golfer and is very active in the Women’s Golf Association at Springfield Country Club. She also enjoys traveling with family and friends, doing home improvement projects, creating handicrafts, and playing bridge.
