Profile
In 2000, Susan Galvin joined Bay Path College as an adjunct professor. She brings 24 years experience working in the court system. She is currently the Chief Probation Officer assigned to the Palmer District Court, a position she has held for the past three years. Her prior experience includes probation officer, assistant chief probation officer, and first assistant chief probation officer, all positions she held in the Hampden Superior Court. Previously, she was employed under the direction of the Massachusetts Parole Board in the position of parole officer for nine years. Her career in the criminal justice system commenced in the Classification Departments of the Hampden County Sheriff's Department and the Connecticut Correctional Institutions. Her professional contributions consist of moderator, trainer, panelist, and representative at numerous conferences and training sessions.
Galvin holds a master's degree from American International College in Massachusetts. Her expertise is in the area of community-based corrections including probation, parole, and contemporary practices in the field of corrections.
