Profile
Louann D’Angelo serves a faculty practitioner within the graduate programs in nonprofit management and philanthropy. To this role, she brings years of experience as a leader having worked for academic institutions, a strong corporate connection, management skills, the planning and execution of Capital Campaigns, and the skills needed to generate funding through grants.
D’Angelo is currently the Assistant Director of Corporate /Foundation Relations at the University of Hartford in Connecticut. In this position, she is responsible for managing grants, scholarships, and contracts in the private foundations and corporate side of Intuitional Partnership and Sponsored Research.
Previously, D’Angelo served as the chief development officer at Mercy Housing and Shelter in Hartford, CT where she developed and implemented a five year strategic plan for funding including policies, procedures, and budgeting for the agency. Prior to that role, D’Angelo served as a Special Events Manager for the Multiple Sclerosis Society in Newington, CT .
D’Angelo teaches Grant Writing for Corporations and Foundations and Annual Giving and Donor Relations. She received her baccalaureate and graduate degrees at Bay Path College including the MBA in Entrepreneurial Thinking and Innovative Practices.
Ms. D’Angelo is a member of the Hartford Junior League. She is an outdoor enthusiast and loves to ski, bike and swim. She also trains, rides, and shows Morgan horses and mostly enjoys spending time with her family.
