PSY 420 — Psychological Measurement and Evaluation

The historical development, theoretical basis, and critical evaluation of models of assessment and of tests used to describe individual differences in performance are covered in this course. Evaluation is studied in relation to educational and clinical uses of tests for assessment of intelligence, aptitude, achievement, and personality. Activities include test design, standardized test interpretation, and the evaluation of existing psychometric instruments.

Prerequisites: MAT 120, PSY 240, PSY 321, and senior status
