Occupational Therapy

Between the three semesters, students learn about and actively participate in research and management topics. Management topics include service models, program planning, funding, and marketing. Research topics include literature reviews, data collection, data analysis, publishing, and presenting at conferences. Grant writing is addressed. Students have the opportunity to present their work at an area student conference. Coursework provides a focused, integrative clinical skill assessment, across the age span and disciplines. Students will demonstrate clinical skills in vital signs, universal precautions, manipulation of thermoplastic splinting material, MMT, ROM, and counseling during clinical case studies.
