NMP 605 — Financial Decision Making for Nonprofits

This course provides a foundation for effective financial nonprofit decision making. Upon completion of this course, the student will 1) possess an understanding of financial and managerial accounting principles as they apply to nonprofit organizations, 2) be able to analyze and evaluate the financial health of a nonprofit organization and determine its financial liabilities and risks, 3) use a variety of strategies to improve the financial condition of a nonprofit organization including developing alternative funding streams, budgeting and cost controls.
