MHE 650 — Leading Change for Nonprofit Organizations

This course introduces students to contemporary methods of leading change in nonprofit organizations through systems thinking and process improvement to address technical, functional, and management issues. Through case studies and other applied learning experiences, students will apply this knowledge to organizational practice and planning in such areas as program design and evaluation; managing staff and volunteers; applying problem solving techniques; and incorporating information technology needs. Drawing on their own experience in the workplace, participants will explore best practices for nonprofit management in contemporary society.
