MAT 101 — Fundamentals of Algebra

This course is designed for college students who need a review in preparation for further study of college-level mathematics. It involves study of basic algebraic concepts that have a depth required for success in college algebra, and is counted toward the general college mathematics requirement. The topics include, the real number system; operations on real numbers; algebraic expressions; solving equations, formulas and inequalities; problem solving; graphing linear equations; and an introduction to polynomials.
