LAW 415 — Advanced Legal Research and Writing

Building on the skills learned in Legal Research and Writing, students will research and analyze state and federal statues, cases, common law, regulations, and rules. Based on their research, students will prepare legal memoranda for the office and the court. This course is taught in conjunction with Constitutional Law, Law 405, as part of the Senior Experience for Legal Studies Majors. It is expected that student work in this course will reflect an understanding and application of legal principles from Constitutional Law and that discussions of student work in this course will be informed by discussions in Constitutional Law.

Prerequisites: LAW 240 and three legal specialty electives
