EDU 110 — Introduction to Early Childhood Education

This course presents an introduction to the field of early childhood education through an examination of the history and philosophy of early childhood education programs and educational theorists. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the development of early childhood programs and environments in relation to the changing needs of modern society. Required observations made at the Bay Path College Preschool, local early childhood facilities, and public elementary schools will augment classroom activities.
