An examination of criminal justice procedure, with emphasis on the roles and responsibilities of criminal justice professionals. Criminal procedure will be examined with an emphasis on the varying, and sometimes conflicting, roles of professionals in law enforcement, including police, probation, parole,corrections, homeland security, and court administration. The course will also address issues related to victims, witnesses, and the judiciary.
