This course covers the entire process of mergers and acquisitions, from evaluating potential targets and partners, to selecting a financial advisor and valuing the business under discussion. A broad spectrum of contemporary mergers and acquisitions topics will be discussed, including valuation, bidding strategies, structuring payments, junk bonds, and special issues surrounding cross-border acquisitions. In addition, a wide range of concepts from diverse fields, such as accounting, finance, economics, law, management, human resources, and marketing will be applied through the use of case studies.
